Our Approach to Sustainability
We’re committed to making a positive difference by focussing on reducing environmental impact, supporting local communities whilst ensuring we have all the processes in place to fulfil our sustainability goals.
For a sustainable event you need to partner with a venue provider who cares about reducing environmental impact. Discover how we’re doing this with our partners.
Supporting our teams and local communities where we’re located is important to us. As are the charities we support who are aligned with our sustainability values.
Having strong sustainability goals is one thing. Ensuring they’re achieved is another. That’s why we’ve invested time ensuring all the necessary processes are in place.
We’ve been championing sustainability since we opened our doors in 1992. In fact, our founder was one of the first Green Champions in London so, you could say, being green is part of our pink DNA.
A strong commitment to our local communities and the environment runs through every aspect of our venues. From the responsible sourcing of food to the support of communities through working with Young Minds at a National Level. What’s more, since 2021, we‘ve worked with Carbon Neutral Britain to become a Certified Carbon Neutral Business, whilst also joining the SME Climate Hub to help track our journey to Net Zero.
Awards & Accreditations
We’re proud of the positive impact we’ve made so far… and it’s particularly rewarding to be recognised by leading authorities:
What sustainable questions should I ask of a conference venue?
Ask for the sustainability policy as this should hold all the information you need on the goals and achievements set out by the venue. It’s also useful to ask if they have been externally accredited for their achievements.
Why should events be sustainable?
Making meaningful progress to address sustainability issues like climate change is becoming more and more important. The events industry is heavily linked to travel and therefore has a key role to play in protecting people and our planet.
