Just over a year ago, few people used the term ‘hybrid meeting’ or ‘hybrid event’. Today, hybrid events have become the norm for many planners, organizers and businesses.
Create a bigger buzz
Compared to a virtual event, a hybrid event creates a bigger buzz. By having a live panel on stage and in some instances a live audience attending, you can generate a more engaging session. This is because the latest hybrid event software makes it so much easier for virtual and in-person audiences to get involved – by asking questions, taking part in live polls, quizzes, games and more.
Hosting a successful hybrid event
One of the most recent hybrid events hosted at etc.venues was Shared Ownership Week. After a week’s worth of online and offline activities promoting homes to first-time buyers, the client wanted to end the week on a high. So, they decided to run a hybrid event including a live panel streamed to a virtual audience.
Simplifying the experience
Plenty of questions were asked and, thanks to the platform’s in-built moderation tools, these were prioritised according to popularity – making the session more useful and informative for everyone tuning in.
Amy Beeken, Digital Manager at The Media People (the media agency which organised Shared Ownership Week) found the whole experience effortless:
“I had plenty of support right from the planning stage. The team did a lot of the setup for me and were on hand throughout to help. It also felt really safe, as the guys managed everything in terms of social distancing.”
