Food

Ask most meeting planners how they judge the success of a conference or event and they’ll often focus on how smoothly the day went. No glitches obviously gets a big thumb’s up.

Ask a delegate the same question and you might be surprised by the answer. They’ll rarely mention a seamless experience but they will always, without exception, talk about the food.

And that’s a valuable insight.

Great food makes a great meeting

It’s also one of the main reasons why we have our own onsite chefs.

At etc.venues, we take food very seriously because we know how important it is to our guests – whether they attend a meeting at one of our upcoming venues in New York or one of our 14 venues in London. Regardless of the city – or the country – we know that great food makes a great meeting.

However, it’s not quite as simple as that.

Our chefs don’t just fill you up, they fire you up

Being able to create tasty, nutritious dishes for large numbers is a rare talent. It requires years of culinary expertise, heaps of creative flair and an understanding of how the brain works.

Yep, you read that last bit right.

Our in-house chefs aren’t just trained to create meals to satisfy taste buds, they serve ‘brain food’ – power-packed meals that stimulate the mind, too. After all, the last thing an event organizer wants is a room full of sleepy delegates who are full of carbs and can’t focus.

Thanks to our chefs’ know-how, meals are nutritionally balanced; ensuring energy is released steadily throughout the day – avoiding sugar spikes and afternoon slumps.

It means attendees won’t just be full up, they’ll be fired-up, focused and ready to go.

Locally sourced ingredients

Delegates can choose from a wide range of dishes – including meat, fish, vegetarian and gluten-free options. And, where possible, ingredients such as grains, vegetables and salads are locally sourced.

Barista-quality coffee

Even our coffee helps aid concentration. Our machines serve up fresh bean barista-quality coffee – unlimited and available throughout the day.

Great food. Great coffee. It all helps to create a great experience. And, at the end of the day, that’s what is truly remembered.
