etc.venues Manchester were delighted to host 'Bee in the City' this week.
Manchester City Council in collaboration with Wild in art have launched an art initiative to inspire the people of Manchester, and raise money for We love MCR. The project called 'Bee in the City' will see a collection of giant bee sculptures dotted around the City, all colourfully designed by local artists.
The Panorama Suite - more usually used to holding large conferences, was transformed into a temporary gallery displaying over 80 unique designs ready to bee picked by sponsors from across the UK.
Over 170 people flooded the conference suite to pick "their bee" including Well Pharamacy, Virgin, Deloitte, MACE and Selfridges to name just a few. Kathryn Wolstencroft - Marketing Manager, 'Bee in the City' commented:
"The Bee in the City Art Selection Reception hosted by etc.venues was a great success - due in no small part to the impressive suite of rooms with stunning panoramic views across the city. The flexibility of the space and the support we received from the etc. team were first rate. It all contributed to a special occasion and created a great 'buzz' and vibe for our special guests."

Keep an eye out for the bees who will be swarming in to the City over the Summer, and for more information on this great initiative visit the official web page.
