In the 1980s, County Hall was the Greater London Council’s HQ; the seat of London’s government where Ken Livingstone famously – and often dramatically – locked horns with the national government of Margaret Thatcher. Today, it’s home to one of our most iconic venues where events unfold far less dramatically than they did when Ken was in the hot seat.

Breathtaking views inside and out

Located on London's Southbank, our County Hall venue affords breathtaking views of The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye. What’s more, our venue is just as stunning when you step inside where you’ll discover every inch of space – across two floors – has been lovingly restored. Many of the original features have been retained and classic copper designs, velvety tones and contemporary artworks introduced.

The overall effect is outstanding and one of the reasons why our venue scooped Best International Conference Centre in the Stella Awards and Silver Award for Best Conference Venue (under 500) from the Conference Awards.
