Realising "a forgotten dream"
Callum Di Lieto, Editor of C&IT, said of the recent C&IT Recovery Forum
"I am very excited about C&IT’s upcoming events this year, primarily because they are going to be live, in-person, face-to-face experiences. Yes, that’s right, you will be able to be in the same room as your peers and network in a way that has almost become a forgotten dream among all the Zoom calls."
The first of these live events was the C&IT Recovery Forum held at etc.venues County Hall in London on 24th June 2021.
The Forum focused on providing an opportunity for all sides of the industry to come together to discuss new strategies and experiences through collaborative panel sessions on talent, business growth and incentives.
Buyers and Suppliers connecting
All the aspects of a live event came together. An action packed agenda was accompanied by networking, exhibition and 1-to-1 meetings. Suppliers we able to meet face-to-face with key agency and corporate buyers to start new relationships or build on existing ones.
Robert Aldhouse, Commercial Director for the event said. "It felt like Christmas going to sleep last night looking forward to seeing everybody". A sentiment that summed up many of the attendees feelings.
He went on to describe the reason for choosing etc.venues County Hall for the event saying “We wanted to work with a venue that had enough space for us all, technically would be able to cope with any demands on IT made by attendees using the app and more than anything a super safe pair of hands”.
