Adam Simpson wins award!

Adam Simpson, Head of Group Sales  here at etc.venues has won the  inaugural Chairman's Award at the ITM Buyer Achievement Awards held at Celtic Manor on 4th May.  The awards are held to recognise best practice in the industry and are presented at a gala dinner with over 300 attendees.  Adam was presented the award by Mark Cuschieri (UBS), the current Chairperson, Marie Hilditch (British Airways) and Carol Neil (Nomura).

Adam said of the award:

"I have to say I am still in shock - it's a wonderful surprise to win this award.  The ITM provide a great forum in which to better understand the needs of the travel and meetings industry, and its great to be able to celebrate best practice in this way.  I wanted to say thank you to everyone at the ITM for this Award. I am truly honoured to be recognised in this way and join fellow travel and meetings professionals who were also recognised for their achievements."

ITM Announce Winners of Buyer Achievement Awards 2016

Winners of the ITM Buyer Achievement Awards 2016 were announced at the black tie gala evening at the ITM Conference at Celtic Manor on 4th May.  Mark Cuschieri, ITM Chairman, presented the awards in front of an audience of more than 390 travel industry professionals.
The awards recognised procurement techniques and travel-specific category expertise along with demonstrated results of an effective travel or meetings management programme. This year’s judging panel was led by Carol Neil, Nomura, and also comprised of previous award winners.  The achievements were recognised in 5 categories and the winners are:

• Rising star:  Alice Linley-Munro, Oil Spill Response
• Meetings & Events Manager:  Michael Maddox, Siemens
• UK Travel Manager:  Claire Marsden, Sodexo
• Multi-National Travel Manager:  Ryan Taylor, International SOS
• Travel Team of the Year:  EY

In addition to the buyer awards, this year also saw the introduction of a brand new category, the Chairman’s Award. This inaugural award was given to Adam Simpson, Head of Group Sales at etc.venues for his invaluable contribution to the association.
