Our third New York City Venue in 2 years of trading.

Proudly extending our New York property portfolio beyond 100,000 sq. ft.

We’re proud to announce our third New York City meeting and event venue, at 810 Seventh Avenue. This extends the total size of our property portfolio in the City beyond 100,000 sq. ft. and up to 30 meeting and event spaces.

The 23,000 sq. ft facility, across two floors, 22nd & 23rd, at 810 Seventh Avenue will offer 7 meeting spaces with the largest room able to accommodate up to 140 theatre style. 810 Seventh Avenue is expected to be open for business later this year.

With this latest strategic expansion in West Midtown Manhattan, following the opening of venues at 360 Madison Avenue (45th Street) in March 2020 and 601 Lexington Avenue (53rd Street) in June 2021, we will have established three major venues in the City since business events restarted post pandemic.

We’ve seen a consistently strong demand for space since November 2021, particularly since staff started working in offices more often. In addition, we’ve seen a new demand for space for company collaboration and meetings created by the trend for Working From Home (WFH) and Working From Office (WFO) where organisations no longer have suitable meetings amenities in-house.

Our Chief Operating Officer, Nick Hoare, explains:

“We have the confidence to make this investment off the back of the success of our two existing properties in NYC which are trading well and receiving excellent client feedback. In addition, we have a healthy sales pipeline that supports our planned further expansion in NYC with a number of other potential venues that we are reviewing for 2023. Having demonstrated that the etc.venues model works in New York, we’ll be applying our proven operational expertise and sales and marketing process to turn 810 Seventh Avenue into another profitable venue.”

Nick continues:

“We are confident that our expansion plans will take us close to $125m annual revenue worldwide next year. This is the first of what we expect to be several new openings in the next few years, an exciting next step in our ambitious plans to grow in the US.”

810 Seventh Avenue is located between Times Square, the Plaza District, Columbus Circle and Central Park. The space offers spectacular views of Central Park and the Hudson River. The 41-storey building has a sleek new lobby and recently modernized elevators. The property is owned and operated by SL Green who are Manhattan’s largest office landlord with interests in 64 buildings and over 34.4 Million sq. ft. It is easily accessible from nine subway lines and is 8 minutes away from Penn Station.

Steven Durels, SL Green’s Executive Vice President, explains why etc.venues is a great choice:

“We wanted a world class conference brand for our building and I was impressed with etc.venues existing US venues and operation on my visits. We are investing heavily in the hospitality experience for our tenants and we see the arrival of etc.venues as a significant investment towards that.”
